Independent Paint Inspection was established in 1985 by Pat Duggan following the closure of the Verolme Cork Dockyard, where he had worked for 20 years gaining considerable experience in all coating systems for both new-build and maintenance projects. Pat was a member of I.Corr, NACE and SSPC. Based in Midleton, Co Cork, Ireland, it has grown to become one of the top consultancies in the area of paint inspection and corrosion advisory services in Ireland and serves the Irish, UK and International markets.

Conor Duggan who was appointed to the role of Managing Director in 2007 has been in the business over 22 years and has gained broad experience in estimating and managing of major industrial painting projects for clients such as Conoco Philips, Irish Rail, Auginish Alumina, Roche Pharmaceutical, ESB, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

Conor is a NACE Qualified Inspector (CIP No. 27729), has time served as Industrial and Decorative Painter and holds City & Guilds Level 1, 2 & 3 in Painting and Decorating. Conor has also achieved the Hodge Clemco UK Abrasive Blast Cleaning and Airless Spray Painting Certificate, attended the Jotun Paint Inspection Protective Coating Course, Confined Space Entry Training, MEWP (Working at Heights Training) and receives ongoing Health & Safety Training

Conor’s team of highly experienced Painting Inspectors are all NACE certifed and Welding Inspectors are CSWIP certifed.
